This project in 2007 was to transform the old Southsea common toilets and sub-station building that site on Western Parade neat Castle Road Portsmouth, England.
Before it was dark red and always had bad graffiti scrawled all over it which brought the area down and gave a negative light to our seafront for residents and visitors. Funding came from local businesses and Portsmouth City Council. I gave the contract to draw up the design to a local 27-year-old artist Racheal Lyons who created an amazing seafront themed design that we painted onto the wall yet sadly she did not get to see the final mural as she tragically and suddenly died from a rare heart defect. We dedicated the mural to Racheal and had a ceremony and a plaque has been erected on the new Parade Tea Rooms that developed the site a few years ago.
