This commission in 2007 for Beechwood Care Home in Rolands Castle, Hampshire was to transform a blank looking wall into a local Victorian seaside scene of Southsea and the Pier through a conservatory.
I added various ships and boats looking out across the Solent to the Isle of Wight with people dotted about the beach and children playing. The mural was created in preparation to enhance the use of sensory equipment being installed into the room used by the residents with dementia.
